Just today, two customers told me they bought tops from us on the 3rd Street Promenade during one of the Earth Day festivals there, more than a decade ago. One woman had recently lost her favorite long-sleeve, and was pleased to find we were still around, still making long sleeves with her favorite cut. Later, a guy called, happy to have found our website on the back of the care label.  Sure enough, we were still making his favorite aqua blue hemp t-shirt.  I assured him we had other colors too.

I gave an aqua blue shirt to my friend Scott last month, while visiting Colorado for the Hemp Industries Association National Conference.  The conference inspired awe in a lot of us—mostly because we could see how the industry we’ve been working so hard to grow is finally growing, tall and strong, like the Colorado hemp fields we visited on our farm tour.

After a couple of days meeting old-time hempers and farmers from Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas and even Lithuania, my friend Scott took me to the Flatirons for a little outdoor time. He wore the aqua shirt I gave him as we dipped our feet in a cold river and climbed to a point overlooking the continental divide.  Scott and his family of skiers have been fans of Vital Hemp for a long time, and it’s their love of the product, as well as the intermittent, unexpected appreciation of fans that keep us going with a smile.

We know hemp’s good for people and the health of all living things—good for the body (outside and inside), good for the land (no pesticides, spare on water) and good for the environment (cools the globe by sequestering carbon).  It’s also great to hear how much our customers love the goods for more quotidian reasons—the way the fabric feels on their body, the cuts, or how well it works for them in yoga classes.  So if you have a picture, and/or testimonial to share, feel free, as we’d love to put it up on our website. We’ll send a free hemp tee to the one we like best.
